The Wild Atlantic Way is a 2,500 km scenic driving route that stretches along the west coast of Ireland. Mayo and Sligo are two of the counties that the Wild Atlantic Way passes through, and both offer stunning scenery and attractions.
In Mayo, the Wild Atlantic Way takes you along the rugged coastline of Achill Island, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and explore sandy beaches, cliffs, and traditional Irish villages. You can also visit the historic town of
Ballina, which has a vibrant arts and culture scene, and hike to the top of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain.In Sligo, the Wild Atlantic Way takes you through the beautiful Yeats Country, where you can visit the grave of the famous Irish poet, W.B. Yeats, and take in the stunning views of Benbulben Mountain. You can also explore the picturesque seaside town of Enniscrone, known for its surfing beaches and lively music scene, and visit the Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery, one of the largest and oldest megalithic cemeteries in Europe.
